    Honestly, if I was in your position, I wouldn't start working yet. You will be working for the rest of your life. There is no reason to start at such a young age. Enjoy your childhood!

    I disagree with that. Working is good for résumé building, and if you're like me and your parents make you pay for everything, you need a job to pay for your phone bills. Plus, if you can't afford to go to a good university, that might hurt you in the future of getting a job.

    I guess that is where every family's situation is different. I was fortunate enough to not need a job, although I now have a job (Minetime). Although Josh has a point, I don't think it is completely necessary, regardless of what bills you need to pay (although I don't know what kind of bills a 14-year-old would need to pay).
