You're hundred percent correct, however if the user is offline the warning or mute wouldn't do anything. But other than that, yes, I agree.

If they have three warnings, just something as simple as another warning would tempban them.

That's not how it works. There must be 4 active warnings for the temporarily ban. And warnings expire pretty quickly, so it's useless to do so.

I know but if a player is a malicious player he may have already have enough warnings for a tempban.

Yes, and that happens every so often, but it's too uncommon to change how we process reports.
