It was said by staff that not all plugins would work entirely after changing your name, a similar thing happened to me on Skyblock . There's not much you can do except maybe wait the 30 days until you can change your name back.
my name is pretty popular and loads of poeple want it so if someone takes it would they stiff fix the plugin?
Once you change your name, it can't be taken for 37 days, meaning that you have time to change it back. On survival can't you go into creative anyway?
