The expression you are looking for is "closed minded", and I'm not really. I considered both options and concluded that there are both enough people that like it how it is to justify not changing it and that the only "pro" (if you could even call it that) is that it makes raiding easier for "OP" people.

Yep, people who have good items and a lot of resources will be able to make good defenses, whilst people just starting out or who are not "OP" will simple be destroyed.
