That voting system is only popular because it makes the game way easier for those players that don't like to spend time on the game. It makes the game overall, not enjoyable because practically everyone is prestige now.
First off, voting contributed to a part of that. Second, you play with hacks and vclip to cheap spots so you can be the last alive -_-
It takes about 9-10 days to prestige just by voting. I honestly love the levels that I get when I vote. The people who just play on infection (like me) are going to prestige faster than those who don't. It took me about two months to get prestige six
Voting has not rewind prestige. Voting just encourages and helps, you have the choice to vote or not to.
I don't think drtshock will change it back due to all the complaints in the past about how very little xp they were getting.
