Even if I have a Vista, I have A+ internet so I don't lag a lot, atleast my Minecraft doesn't get those weird things called Lag Spikes of Doom. Are those what the Survival server keep getting for you all? I'm always in the Creative and Factions either doing pixel art in Creative or trying to ally everyone in Factions, so I'm sorry if I'm not very much help. If you think it is you, taking a speedtest can show how fast your connection speed is. If you have bad internet speed, then you are likely to have lots of lag.

I have a custom computer and I installed OS X on it. So, I have a computer running OS X that is not bought from apple. That is what you call a Hackintosh. By the way, it is illegal to have a hackintosh without having an actual apple computer. I have a apple computer so its okay if I installed OS X on my custom computer.
The lag is caused by the ammount of stuff in such a good server plus when 1500+ people are on it does not help
