I have become quite a bit of a scammer now. Today, I went 10 minutes and got quite a lot of money. I plan to go back on tomorrow and scam more and more. I have decided to put together some strategies for those who want to earn that slightest bit of money and move up into their desired tier. - Be patient; when you're scamming you want to be clear. Use punctuation and correct grammar! You want to be patient not just: "pay me $100 for team!" "Pay me $100 for team!!!!" "Pay me $100 for team!!!! Please!!!!" You want to be legitimate and even then, once you have the desired amount of money you were asked for, if you want to be a slight bit more cheeky... - Pay More Scam; this means you have already done the scam and got the money asked for. But, you want more money. You could say: "for some reason, I only got half the money, can I have the other half?" Or "Minetime messed up and wouldn't give me the money, can you pay me again?" - Team Scam; before you perform this scam you want to have either a good reputation, or just be an admin or commander. You want to say: "Teaming for (money here), msg me!" - /fly scam; this is an OP scam. And I use it a lot. And I mean, a lot. How this works is you want to be an admin or commander. Then, you want to say "Giving /fly for $30" This may seem like a low price, but the amount of people that fall for this is massive. - Normal Scam; this scam requires actually having the item. Say: "Giving a p3 diamond Chestplate for $50, msg me!" Both the armour and money can be changed. But this is just an example. Then, the player will msg you, you show them the item in your hand and ask them to pay you. If they do the opposing option and ask for either half and half or you give them the item and they pay, say you don't trust them and move on. Try and avoid this player at all times and be witty at all times. - Auction scam; when the player auctions, do /bid (money) (money). This will make them not be able to bid. Well, some . Hope this helps!
Most major scams take time, you need to build a raport with said player before scamming them. Almost no one would fall for a trick by a random person shooting things. Anyway a good scam is one in which you trick the other player into thinking they are scamming you, pretend your some stupid vulnerable nub. This is where the big $ is at in the world of scamming, saying things like "Giving /fly" will only trick nubs and in the long run you don't gain much at all.
Joel, I somewhat agree with you. Yesterday I got scammed $20,000 on factions. Was i a happy man? No. But I have to admit I have scammed people 4 stack of gapples on OP.
I thought people would want to keep their scamming strategies down low, so no one would know what was coming...
I have only scammed once and that was with my in real life friend. xD We took it easy, it was only like $30 on skyblock or something.
I have only ever scammed when I first started playing minecraft, about 3 years ago, on a server im not going to mention for advertising reasons. And I have never scammed on Minetime. And I'm not about to change
I have never scammed, and never will. The problem with scamming is, people will begin not to like you. I am quite popular on some servers through MineTime. I think scamming is cheap. Earn money legit. Scammers are somewhat noobs. Not saying you are a noob, Star. I am just making a point.
