As many of you know, the prison server is overdue for a reset. It is currently whitelisted as the staff and I work on resetting it and will re-open fresh and new on Saturday, July 26th at 1am central time (UTC). All prison ranks randomly reset overnight. This was unplanned but a good thing because it forces me to jump right into this prison update rather than procrastinating. Needless to say I will be updating our Permissions plugin and this won't happen again. Your donator ranks will not reset -- and they're about the only thing that won't be resetting. Some things that will be resetting are: Balances Homes Faction data The freeworld and end (spawn world will not change) Enderchests and inventories mcMMO stats The point of this thread is not just to notify you about the reset but also take suggestions from you guys for the reset. What are some things you want changed/added/removed from prison when it resets? You can give us basically any suggestion, but please do not suggest guards as I am already aware that people want guards in prison and I'm working on a solution. Thanks guys! When do you believe it will be back up since the time you were going to do it changed or still the same?
Ok cool, I was thinking that you should make a guard rank IE: D-Guard, C-Guard, B-Guard, A-Guard, Head Guard. You could have some people apply for these positions and the rank would only be on prison. Guards would be able to Jail people with Contraband and Kill people that are massacring other people. I hope this gets implemented.
I think you should start people off with 500k instead of 200k and that the pvptimer should be removed
I'm sorry to hear that this is happening to prison, not just because I have played on it a lot, but for the people who have worked effortlessly to earn what they did. In the end though this is for the better of the server, because it offers newcomers a chance to take that top spot on the server. Which is what I will be doing when it comes back up. And guys, don't quit just because of a reset. It is just as fun ranking up and becoming the best as it is being the best. So if you do read this, take that advice and have fun on prison.
The bad thing about that is that a guard could abuse the jail command. So you would have to find someone thats trustworthy enough to not abuse the commands given to a guard
The PvPTimer is to ensure that players that do not have experience on prison are able to explore without the threat of being killed. Also, I don't think you should start with any money. It defeats the purpose of the server because you can instantly start with a lot of money.
I think that a Donator mine should be added. Especially for the higher Donation ranks like Executive, CEO, Admin and Timeless.
Yes but then the prison server would become more dead because it would be a pain for people to rank up and people would stop playing it. What you said about the pvptimer is actually pretty good it would give people a chance to explore
I think that /kit food should have some steak because your food bar doesn't finish off so quickly if you eat steak. If you eat bread, your hunger bar finishes off really quickly. People that have donated can do /feed but this idea will be handy for people who don't have ranks.
I highly doubt the server would become less populated. Some people enjoy having the challenge of ranking up.
Yeah true and also make it so that a D-Guard can only be able to jail a D-Prisoner same with the others
Yes, that is what I was thinking, hopefully Collin will think this is a good idea and implements this feature. Also, D-Guard would be the lowest and so on.
