    Hello fellow Minetimers;

    Recently, there have been a growing number of threads complaining about things like "The community is worse than when I started playing", or "Minetime isn't what it used to be", or "You don't have enough staff", or "All the good players are leaving", or "Players are going to leave because of what is happening" and various other things trying to forecast gloom and doom. Quite frankly, I've had about enough of it. These opinions are often based on one-sided observations and exaggerated or just plain false data. Also, a large contributor to the feeling that things are so bad is the prevalent parroting of these feelings by a few dissatisfied players. Once the idea sets in, mixed with some not quite truthful data and a generous helping of confirmation bias, the idea is then perpetuated.

    Despite what some players appear to believe, we are aware of the issues we face and are working towards solutions. Unfortunately, nothing is instant, good work takes time. I assure you that, when and if issues arise, we do notice and we do fix them. We are also constantly working to improve the server, just because you cannot see behind the curtains into what is being done in the background does not mean that we are doing nothing.

    Here at Minetime, we are very dedicated to providing the best Minecraft gaming experience that we can to our users. However, we provide this service because we want to, not because we are required to. We try our best to help and satisfy all players. However, in the end you are not entitled to have everything go your way. We will not be able to meet every demand/request and, honestly, cannot be expected to do so. Just because an estimated completion date for a project was not accurate does not mean you can continually pester staff about it.

    We appreciate your donations very much and as such, users receive various in-game ranks as a token of appreciation for these donations. However, donations do not entitle you to any special treatment. Donors are bound to the same set of rules and treatment that defaults are bound to. Just because you are a donor does not entitle you to complain or attempt a chargeback when you are punished for violating the rules. Threads complaining about not getting money back after being banned are both pointless and generally disruptive to the community.

    Another common harmful thing that we frequently see is players expecting their donation to be returned to them if they quit the server. You donated for a rank and got what you donated for. You are not entitled to your money back after you've decided that you're done with the rank, it was a donation, not a bank deposit.

    So, in conclusion;
    Is everything perfect?
    No.
    Is everything ever going to be perfect?
    No.
    Are we working on it?
    Yes.
    Do we care?
    Yes, very much so.

    Also, in the end, all these negative complaint threads are part of the problem, they don't help us, they don't help you, they may even make other player's experiences worse, they are overall detrimental to everyone.
