*Update! Fixed!* Love your Prison server, there's none like it but it has become VERY hard to enjoy the gameplay. Prison lag has become increasingly worse from the first day I began playing. Random disconnects, random lag spikes, all tied in with almost consistent lag that just wont go away. I know it's not my internet nor my computer because everyone else seems to be complaining about it too, and I don't know if there has been a response to this from the owner. As much as I hate to do it, I hope you come up with a solution to this very soon or I will likely not be around for much longer.
Random disconnects/lag spikes I have not been experiencing. The only "lag" truly present on Prison is client-side lag, which is induced by the amount of particles in the mines. @Drake Hubbard and I set many unused spawn areas as air to help alleviate this lag.
Thanks for the quick response. Any ideas as to why I AM getting disconnects and lag spikes? I've read around other sites that say all this started happening after the new minecraft world update. I will post some of the messages I get after disconnects when they happen. Edit: I notice that my fps dips down with the lag. Know that I have no problems running other games that are more intense in graphics than minecraft. ----- Messages: "[Kicked] Block breaking out of sync!" ~ This happened in Freeworld around the time my friends and I were experiencing glitching with the blocks, where we would break a block and it would reappear right afterwards. My friends are from Australia and I am in the U.S.A. At this time some people were yelling "lag" in public chat as well. "Internal Exception: io.netty.handler.timeout.ReadTimeoutException" ~ This happened in Freeworld as I was enchanting books at my base. ----- Specific High lag areas: Severe lagging in populated areas like "/warp enchant", "/spawn", "/warp shop", and other areas, to and from, surrounding these. Some lag in Freeworld with some lag spikes, and block glitching. In the pvp zone of "/warp b-mine" my bro and I were pvping and I was not able to hit dmg him even as he was standing still in front of me. The hits were simply not registering, and at some points we appeared in different places in each others screens. In "/warp enchant" I can see through the walls/floor, they load only when I move closer to them.
If anyone else is experiencing these issues please let us know. It should be know that these problems exist. I know I'm not the only one.
Tnt is glitching when thrown from a tnt cannon to an enemy base. It just explodes and does no dmg. Thanks Jess, for clearing this up for me.
If no members of that faction are online then tnt does no damage if it blows up in their territory. The most you can do to a fac that is offline is blow up tnt right outside their territory. This is not lag or a glitch, its the way its supposed to be.
I lag the most on the prison server but i know it is my computer. I have a bad computer but once i get it swiped it will go super fast.
That sounds more like your computer, though many experience lag, its not common for people to crash that much. I don't even have many crashing problems when i play on my old laptop (though still a few).
Did not know that. Thanks for the info. And to get back on topic. All the lag seems to be dependent on the population of the server. There's much less lag with low population. Does this mean the system running Prison needs to be upgraded to run more smoothly with high population, if at all possible?
