With the current state of Minetime, I personally do not see a full revival coming, at least not anytime soon. Between our current three gamemodes, I believe Skyblock is the biggest hit. With Noobcrew also owning Mineverse and Skyblock.net, I do not think Skyblock is our biggest selling point for new players.

What I have noticed are several older players, some coming all the way from 2013, are coming back to check out the server. I mean, why not? Nostalgia can do some powerful things. These returning players are coming back to see an empty server that is barely a shell of what it once was. They will join a gamemode and just talk about the old days. Remember this player or that player? Remember the Admin donor rank? Using ! to shout in chat? These are memories of some's childhoods. But once the nostalgia fades, they'll log off and not be seen for another half year. On Skyblock, we already have players that haven't been on in a month.

I propose that Minetime become some sort of throwback server. Bring back the old gamemodes maps from 2014/2015 or whenever. Bring back some of the old, goofy commands. Market Minetime as a throwback server. Have version 1.8 as the recommended version to play. Of course times have changed in the past six years, include the quality of life updates that became with the growth of Minecraft. I believe enough older players will want to stick around, even for a little bit, to help get the server back on it's feet if they are supporting something they are familiar with.

Unfortunately, with a server full of players returning from years past, you probably will not have many, if any, purchasing anything from the donor shop. So with that, I would like to suggest some upgrades that could be purchased that I think some older players would like. Custom donor tags like showing off the year you joined the server originally. Discounted rank upgrades if you're original donation was before 20xx. A custom pet that uses CollinLove's head that follows you around the server.

This was just a 4am thought while I chatted with some old players. Though this idea may not take off, please throw your ideas down.

In all seriously, I agree. I have no idea why Noobcrew decided to bring back the server 4 years after 90% of its player base left from however low it was. I would rather have tried to personally convince the remaining 10 players to move to Mineverse/Skyblock than spend a minute setting up another server.

I have no idea what happened during the time Collin sold this server to when Noobcrew decided to acknowledge Minetime's existence, but it's a lost cause imo. I feel like in order to make money for the sake of keeping Minetime up, wacky cosmetic perks are a great idea even if Minetime is somehow sustainable right now.

What I personally believe is when Collin sold the server, the server was already on a decline. From there, selling the server left a bad taste in a lot of players mouths. On top of Noobcrew having to manage Mineverse and Skyblock.net, he probably didn't have enough time for is newly adopted stepchild. Logically, I don't see a point to Minetime as Mineverse is far superior at this time. Making Minetime "another" gamemode loaded server won't boost the server nor would it help Mineverse as it would steal players from there. Something different and unique is required.

I agree. Before this, I'm pretty sure people complained about how even Collin was inactive then Tyler came in. I might be overestimating but I think Minetime was at around 300-400 before the shutdown? I think seeing servers empty became normal after selling the server and would just decline into nothing under Cypriot then no one. I would've just promised Minetime players a rank transfer equivalent from day one if I were Noobcrew. Maybe just assign some Mineverse/Skyblock administrator to do it.
