As much as I'd like to see the old minetime in general back, unless anyone has a time machine laying around, we are never and CAN never see it again.

Yes, you can just kill abuse. I see some players have bots or player alts and just go down and kill them = They gain money .
and with all the money they get from "farming" as its called, they buy the best items, also such as /kit major, and then they have unlimited amounts of god apples, making them completely just unkillable on the whole.
That can't be stopped unless we remove the leaderboard and money system, which causes more problems. Anyone could have predicted this. It was suggested before that if someone had 0$, the person who killed them could not gain money. It needs to be set up so when you die you basically pay the person money, and if it can't go negative then there is no more alt farming.
