So I decided to take a "break" from Minetime (half-year), only to come back and find that the population disintegrated into almost nothing. Why did this even happen?
You have missed about 10 trillion tons of drama. But that part we can skip lol. After minetime was unblacklisted, we came part with about not even half I'd say our normal player base. And because we had to take out our dam kits and many other perks to be allowed to operate (because of the EULA) the player base has just been decreasing ever since. Ranks are worthless now, tons of in-game problems, players are getting each other banned from charge backs, staff members are fading away / being demoted / giving up *cough* I mean "moving on" and btw @CypriotMerks decided to have Tyler, most veteran staff member since collin left, demoted and banned and there still has been no explanation. Tyler, (Nuggets) was greatly loved by the community and this also made some players quit.
Tyler's banning also caused many staff to leave and most of the staff that have stayed are either not very active, or trying to tell everyone its ok. Things are in a very depressing downword slope right now, not a good time to come back lol. Might be the only time minetime has left though if changes are not made soon.
I'd say because MT was down for a long time and afterward MT couldn't keep its playercount with the quality of its servers
First of all Collin closed the server so many player never checked back to see if it was open they thought minetime was done and over. Also there was like 3 months of downtime. The new owners came and we had to remove rank perks that were against the eula to be unblacklisted which meant we had to wait 3 months to be unblacklisted. Many players became inpatient or thought it would never open so quit By removing perks that were against the eula we had to remove kits this made players fustraighted, many players liked eula pay2win servers by kits being removed it kind of almost ruined games in some players eyes and people have also donated a lot of money to see their rank perks go. This made many players quit also.
I made a post about why Tyler was demoted and banned with a screenshot of Sr. Mod telling me what happened but it was deleted shortly after because "It would start drama".
I remember when there were so many more players on the server daily 24/7. Pretty depressing to see the population gradually decrease
I'm apparently not allowed to make analogies anymore, so I'll put it as blunt as possible. We hopped to a different IP twice, our staff is pretty much gone, and ranks aren't worth the money they cost.
OK, time to clarify. I was saying that back when Collin was alive, Tyler was the most veteran (Meaning the most senior and longest connected to Minetime/Collin) staff member. I thought Nathan was saying that Bman was *now* the oldest connected to minetime (Veteran) so he should of used past tense. Obviously Bman is indeed still staff, and Tyler isnt.
I'm hoping we can come back from this, but it seems like the owners aren't doing much... 'Sometimes the worst action to take is no action at all...'
