AdamTheCrafter, the staff member are working on the resets as we speak. When ever I'm on the server, there are new players everyday. If we continue to vote for the server, the server might be #1 on the Minecraft list again. Just be patient, everything will work out.
Thank you for commenting this extremely helpful informative information. With your great suggestions and productive ideas we can now move forewords and bring minetime back to what it was before. While I was reading your post the only thing I could think of is "And the sky is blue." I agree, Adam, that we should be focusing more on the server then the server's forum. First of all, Minetime's base player base sucks. (Duh.) The biggest thing that minetime has going for it is that it is a hack-friendly server. Now, obviously, people hack on other servers. But, do they know about minetime? Thats the issue. I think minetime's player base would greatly improve if there was advertisements. Just thats just the start. Once we get players, how do we get them to stick around? there is the most important thing, (in the eyes of the owners anyway) making money. Ranks are useless now. Unless your going to pay $105 for the title [Admin], your not going to buy anything. We need to find a way to be EULA complement, but give ranks purpose. One way of doing this (And im not too sure about this because I haven't completely checked all EULA requirements) might be to add it some type of in-game currency. If ya get a kill, then ya get a $1(Or something like that). Ranks, or kits, could easily be bought in-game. First and foremost I think we should stop taking slogans from a bigoted, bald, asinine orange. Second I think the people who own the server should actually contribute instead of being hermits.
Honestly, I laugh a little when people constantly say ''You need to be patient'' or ''Everything will work out''. It's been a year of the same thing now, no significant changes and only a decline in our player count. This is the reason why I barely want to come onto the server, why I don't post much anymore, because I know things aren't suddenly going to get better. Even if we start getting results and changes, it will be really slow considering that we've got barely any buildteam members.
PingPongGamer, don't you think it took time for Collin to get MineTime up off the ground? The answer is yes, yes it did. When he sold MineTime, it was down for two months. Now the new staff members have to regain the people it used to have.
I'm unsure of what you mean by your first sentence? Anyway, take 2 months of the 12 and it's still 10 months. Surely a server should be able to regain players, reset servers and make fun and enjoy changes? You may say ''Well Tyler didn't have file access'', so what were Cyp and Crew doing? I respect the fact that they want to enjoy their life out of Minecraft, but you can't buy a server and leave it for dead, just like you can't adopt a child and not care for it? I'd love it if Minetime were to become even half of what it used to be, and I'd love to be apart of it growing, but I think changes will be coming very slowly for the next couple of weeks/months.
My first sentence means that it took time for Collin to actually get that type of player base in the first place; and so will Pile. Yes, the server owners wasn't active and they still aren't. Pile, Kitten, BMAN, and the rest of the staff members are doing this by themselves with only one builder that's actually active. So yes, of course it will take time.
Exactly what I was saying in my first comment Yes, changes may come but they will be slow, and it doesn't deny the fact that there was plenty of time before hand to get things going.
We need a bigger build-team, (obviously), we should do like building challenges to see what people could be picked as build-team. So many people have quit since Collin did too, if he never left us, we would've been in a much better place. Collin, if you're out there, we love you, please come home, me and your mom are worried. I'm a long-time and inactive player for this server. But I'd love to see the server become great as you want it to be again though, so surely voting will help. Especially in the upcoming summer, where majority have nothing but free time. So they might join minetime again, or for the first time.
I do agree now that the forums have been updated we should now focus more in-game. We are actually planning a reset for prison and factions but with one builder it is hard to finish the map. The problem about our playerbase is that many people used to love pay2win servers and donated upwards of $100 to see their ranks perks to go, what also made it go lower is the blacklist or that nobody checked back when collin closed the server. All these big servers never really had pay2win ranks and complied with the EULA. One server acctually used to hit 1,000 players and went through the same things as us, their players didn't have their kits so quit and probably most pay2win servers have. We are always open to suggestions for in-game additions you would like to see and you can checkout @Xavier 's and @CypriotMerks 's thread to give your suggestions for the resets.
Yes omg this happens all the time, all they do is say "wait we are working on it" and they are not doing anything and they are not helping at all. they just care about the forums, why don't they care about the server? its dying.
I improve the things I have access to. That's why I make as many improvements on forums as I am able. I stay active handling support tickets and fixing rank issues because I have access to buycraft so I can. I don't have access to files or I would do my best to help the server. So please don't criticize me when I do everything within my power. I'm not the owner. Hell, I don't even get paid to run this place but I'm still here every day. Even with all the hate and disrespect that is thrown at me. The server needs updates. Absolutely. I wish so much that I could do those updates. I have plans in the works but it takes others to do those. So here we sit. I know it's frustrating but complaining won't bring back the old days. It just won't.
