Recently, the minetime communities members are getting hacked every once in a while, Dexsta101 was a victim and had gotten hacked. This guide will ultimately show you how to stay safe and make a strong account!

    Strong Passwords

Fairly simple to explain, get a password that has at least 8-18 characters and that has at least 2 or more numbers, capital letters or symbols. This method is the most common way to stay safe. Here is a website to generate a password.

    http://passwordsgenerator.net

    Two-Factor Authentication

Minetime has a feature where if you highlight your cursor over your profile picture and name up at the top right corner. It will give you a list of options form there select Two-Factor Authentication, what this is suppose to do is make you type in another password/key to add to the login process.

Never give out your IP or Personal Information

Self-explanatory, When you give these out you are more prone to getting hacked by other people, people may boot you offline if they have your ip or even take it as far as to SWAT you if they gain your personal information. Gathering someone's information is called DOX and it is sadly fairly simple to do now.

    Never go on sketchy sites

Your Computer/Personal Information may be easily logged when you join a sketchy sight. This is the one cause of people getting hacked, although, it's not the most common cause.

Tell me if I should add anymore tips below!

Hiding your IP to non-contacts on Skype
On Skype click the TOOLS tab and select OPTIONS
Once in options scroll down and click ADVANCED a drop down menu will appear.
In the drop down menu go to CONNECTION
In connection select ALLOW DIRECT CONNECTIONS TO YOUR CONTACTS ONLY

    What this will do

By selecting the setting it makes all Skype Resolvers enable to work to your Skype name.

I feel like this has already been said by multiple people and you're just re-saying it in a thread that will never get pinned. Sorry to be negative.

This website is also unsafe in ways. You can't just get a password from a random password generator, you just have to come up with one. If you're a bad password maker/creator just do this
    1. Take your favorite quote or your favorite sentence
    2. Use the first latter of all the words (including 'a')
    3. and "boom", you have a password.

I prefer to just spam my keyboard really fast. E.g:

    jkagnoierhgi;sihzjrsdighejgw8y4tqufop'ejgpae[`F\GJABW"GI8E[Yge9asop'HGBAWIG9weHGJ\segb' uegfh`j[opnWaVUFGH{EA)s[ogj\es'd;vb;oAIJG|AE{NGBehgz;posjn`gbEVBIOPAG|HJP{WTu3go:J~P"AWfbvwu8gF"HPOAWFvgau;giesopg/j`svg;ae9gpojen`gb;ehgpoe`sbg`o

^ That is a secure password.

(If you're familiar with batch coding)
Use this code for a random number generator.

    @echo off
    :here
    Cls
    Echo.
    Echo %random%%random%%random%
    Echo.
    Pause
    Goto here

Copy and paste that into notepad.exe and save it as derp.txt then rename it to derp.bat and that should work. :p
