I have a Windows 7 64-bit and I lag in Skywars Minetime every match. Now, most of the time, I lag so much that Minecraft starts to not respond and my framerate decreases dramatically. Please, please, PLEASE fix this lag issue in the next server update.
Atm I'm on a Windows 8 64-bit and I lag really bad in Skywars as well, though my MC doesn't crash, it lags like heck.
My computer is Windows 8 running on A+ High Speed Online internet connection that is the best in my state. It is not my computer. By lag I do not mean "screen freezes" I mean "My character moves really slow and so does everyone else and I get teleported backwards with chat flooding my face which is a direct indicator of Minetime lag"
What i'm trying to get at is almost exactly what Bandetto is saying: my Minecraft doesn't crash, but I get stuck on bridges and become vulnerable because of it. I'm almost positive it's not my computer because I've played many other games on it besides Minecraft, and also played this server before the 1.7 update. It never lagged at all.
Thank you, ArcticWaffle! I am aswell positive that it is not my problem, and lots of people have been complaining about lag lately. God is dead and Minecraft 1.7.2 killed him.
I also have an Intel i3 processor and play many CPU intensive games, with little to no lag if that helps also.
I can play many CPU intensive games, well, before my fan broke.. If my fan wasn't broken I could play other things than just Minecraft and lower though
But my other computer is fine and great and Windows 7 and it's a desktop with working fan and still lags like that.. so..
Dont think that it your computer lagging guys, its the bug and things in the 1.7 update when they get there bug fix out everything should be back the way it used to be
Heh, my case doesn't seem to be as bad. Mines more like my screen freezing for 30 or 60 seconds and then returning back to normal. But my fps stays at 50 or 30 most of the time. I use an Windows 8 w/ Intel Core i5
I get lag spikes where my FPS goes from 70 to 0 and stays at 0 for about 2 or 3 seconds, then it goes back to 70. It's annoying!
Another thing is that I don't hear any damage noises. It's only mulitplayer, too. Also, the stupid "Press E to open your inventory" never goes away.
Man, am I sick of this server. I get kicked off a bridge with no snowball sound effect and my death message didn't say anybody killed me. I also, now, cannot place lava. The inventory message is probably caused if you haven't loaded a world in 1.7.2 yet, since I THINK they added more achievements. Lag has decreased dramatically over the past few days of playing, but other annoyances have started to rise.
dont get me wrong, but i think its sometimes to do with the empty world, may sound strange but, when i was building my hub server on my server, when i covered a part of the world (like building the floor) it tend to freeze my Mc, which is similar to people building bridges and then them freezing, Not 100% that it is why, but it could be a suggestion
