Hello everyone! I have seen quite a few posts on the forums regarding hacked clients and whether they are or should be allowed on the server. Most common hacked clients are allowed on the server, so long as they do not directly cause harm to Minetime. Minetime does have protection to block some of the common, super over-powered hacks (Fly, Super Speed, Force Commands, God Mode, Etc.) although we do allow other common hacks. (X-Ray, KillAura/Forcefield, Wallhack, Etc.) Most hacks that aren't blocked really only give people an advantage in things like pvp or having more resources. The reason that hacks are allowed is because A. There are so many hackers it would be a pain to go through and bring punishment to every single one of them, B. Some of the staff members even use hacks, and we enjoy using them! C. Almost all of the Minetime members have the ability to download and install a hacked client whether you think so or not, which makes it technically fair. Hacks being allowed also make Minetime a bit different from the rest of Minecraft servers. Considering all that has just been said I will end it with hacks are and will stay allowed for a while at least. Until they start causing widespread issues they will stay allowed on the server. Please do not post anything hack related on the forums anymore unless it concerns something serious. (Like your account being hacked due to a hacked client, etc.) Hope this helps out a bit! Yeah, its your choice to download the clients or not some people might need them some people dont some people download them because others have them who cares it your choice do what you want
There aren't any hacked clients out for 1.7.2 except Nodus, but the json is in snapshot format, so it can't be used in SMP. Most clients available for the Pc are also available for Macs though, for specifics, I would say use Kinky, Huzuni, or Weepcraft when they update.
Nodus hasn't even been updated for 1.6.4, why would they update to 1.7.2? Scetch, the creator, quit a while back. Besides Weepcraft, all the other hack clients will steal your password. Just saying When you use those tools you're letting the creator take control of your account to build massive alt lists that eventually find themselves publicly available on the internet.
Oh, you're probably running one of those skid builds off Hackforums. Ye, your account is part of an alt list now. Congratulations, it's being used in spambot attacks.
I agree with everything you said drownin because yes of course everyone is able to download hack clients, and I understand that server threatening hacks are not allowed because Minetime will be seriously damaged if some one decides to do so.
Hey dude I had never noticed that actually, thanks for the warning I don't think I'll be using any hack clients again, and I'll change my password is this a concern for me or should I not worry about it?
I used to use Nodus, back in the 1.5.2 days, until the original notice creator gave up. All the new Nodus versions never seem to work for me anymore.
Nodus is too simple. Oh, and I've tried Weepcraft before because it came with Optifine or whatever. IT IS AMAZING.
WeepCraft is to complicated for me Nodus is better... Its more easy to use also less crashes and you don't lag as much.
