we need anvils !!

There is no anvils in the prison. You have to work your way out and get freeman, from there you can buy iron from the shop / mine for iron and make your own anvil. You could make an anvil and place it in the mine however, the mine resets often which will also remove your anvil.

Anvils may be crafted or bought in the black market as stated in previous replies.
A tip, if you are a(n) D/C/B/A-prisoner, you have the ability to place anvils in a mine. You cannot place it on the top layer. Also, watch out for other players who can and most likely will, try and steal your anvil and items that are being enchanted. The last foreseeable issue you might encounter is the mine resetting; which will result in the anvil and any items in it to be clear.

If you need to use an anvil, craft one then go into one of the mines and use it quickly so the mine doesn't reset on you. I find that c-mine is the best because it doesn't reset as often as a or b and there are usually very few people there that would try to steal your anvil and items by breaking it.

 

If you need an anvil, I'm free to give some to you. Now that your free I recommend that you join a faction so you can have anvils at your base to access at any time!
