It should depend on maturity, knowledge of Minetime, ability to communicate using the English language, and loyalty. Extra notes: This is Collin's server, meaning he can accept, and deny, any applicant, or application, he desires. He can also change the requirements of the applications at his own accord. If you didn't get accepted this year, you might be next year. Minetime usually picks a bunch of good, decent, and bad staff, and then goes through them over the year to see who should be demoted, and promoted. If you're quitting because you didn't get accepted, grow up. If you're quitting because certain staff got accepted, grow up. If you're complaining because you didn't accepted, grow up. If you're complaining because certain staff got accepted, grow up. To the new staff, congratulations. If you msg me and I don't respond, it means I previously ignored you for a good reason. I would also like to give a large thank you to @Nuggets and @Megan for helping me to submit my application. They were very helpful overall in clutch timings.
Some of that could of been stated a little bit nicer, "grow up" isn't quite the most mature thing to say. But we all aren't always on our best mood all the time, just please don't be so rude next time. Also, congrats to all the new staff members! Make sure to be as active on forums and in-game as well!
Telling people to grow up is meant to tell them to act more mature, but you're not mature enough to understand that. They need to have someone be rude back because they are whiny about not getting staff.

I didnt say that it was telling them be more mature, I was stating it wasnt the most mature thing so say. I partially agree with you on the whiny people, but it hurts to not get in. Some are denied because of simple errors. I know that telling somone to "grow up" isn't telling them to be more mature, its telling them to think and behave sensibility and realistically. I Apologize on my behalf for arguing with TCP, I was simply stating my opinion, it wasn't meant for it to become an argument.
We're not arguing, we're trying to find a way to understand each other's opinion. I'm just saying that if you're complaining about not getting staff, it's annoying and they should realize that it's just a video game; a game played by electronically manipulating images produced by a computer program on a television screen or other display screen.
It is one thing to be able to write long flashy paragraphs in an endless essay. However, one must also understand that written communications as a staff member frequently need to be concise. Often, overstating things is not the best approach to the situation. Simply be clear, accurate, eloquent and to-the-point. For instance, I could write a post that is half this page long as a response, but I also have to understand that a response like this can, and should, be accomplished in merely several sentences. If you go overboard on your length and wording, your focus and point are often lost in translation.
To be honest I only know wanderinggambler(not sure if he remembers me), Kyleep and proofofexistence. Other than them I don't really know anyone else. I guess I only know those who goes online alot. It was also wise of Collin to pick players that favorites different servers. Also what's done is done so there isn't a need to fuss around about the new staff as it isn't going to change a thing. I'm not sidding anyone, I'm just giving a fair point of view.
It's not that we're not online a lot. It's a possibility that a majority of the staff aren't in your timezone so you don't see them as much. On the other hand, maybe not. Just giving my point of view.

When I meant online a lot to those I know, apparently I don't know you and when I say 'online a lot' I actually meant that they play on minetime longer than me. Eg. I play 1hr per day and they play 2hrs per day. Point across? Don't mind me, I'm just passing along with my point of view which isn't really important in this thread.
