I'm really not the one to make this thread, but there's been so many unnecessary questions asked in the thread that I just couldn't not make it (If that made any sense.) Staff applications started again after a year and a half of waiting. Of course, everyone rushes to send in their applications, and everyone's talking about it. But honestly? If you can't read the thread for yourself and find simple answers, you're really not qualified to be a staff member. So yeah... here are some frequently asked questions regarding staff applications. Q: When will I be notified about my application's acceptance/rejection? All applicants will be notified by email about their application's result by July 1st, 2015. Q: Can I apply if I don't have Skype? No. The Minetime staff will contact you by Skype and you will be added to the staff chat if you are accepted. They can't talk to you if you don't have Skype. Q: Is there an age restriction? Actually, this is one of the more reasonable questions. No, there is no age restriction. You could be 8 or 40 and still end up as staff; age is not reflective of maturity or responsibility. Q: Has anyone been accepted yet? No; they'd wait for all applications to be in before they start accepting. Actually, asking this question will decrease your chances of making it in as staff. Patience is a virtue. Q: [Staff member], can you read my application? no. Your chances are officially drastically decreased! Congrats. ----- Ranting aside, there are many wonderful, informed members of Minetime that would make exceptional staff members. Let's hope they get picked and not the ones that would be asking a ton of questions instead of answering them.
It's actually quite helpful that she made this, we've been really busy trying to read all the applications
I guess you have a point. And thanks for the thread, there were actually questions in there I needed answering
Probably only the ones that got accepted. Staff won't have time to send 500+ emails. They'll probably email the ones they've chosen, and then make a thread about it.
There is currently 489 applications for helper. I don't believe Collin will be sending one message in a huge group conversation. I think they'll find a forum plugin to email everyone a certain message that got denied and/or accepted.
This is really useful. Ive seen a lot of people mentioning things about applications, and its pretty annoying . Cool guide.
Sending one message in a huge group conversation to those who were denied would also ruin the whole "privacy" aspect, as everyone who got denied would then have your email address.
If you put into "to" something like "denied members", and in Bcc put all the email addresses, that protects them from getting your email address sent to everyone.
Great job for posting this its very helpful for people who don't understand the real Staff Applications thread
