Bases are tricky! I usually do 2 layers of obsidian, right at bedrock level. Then I claim all around the base. If it's in an ocean, I get rid of all the water on top. Yes, people can tnt, that's why instead of the water, I replace a layer of water with obsidian.

For you guys wondering how to raid an obby gap obby base you need to destroy the gap part of the base or enderpearl glitch through the bottom of the base. Any base is raidable with an gap anywhere inside of there obby walls no matter if its filled in with sponges water lava cobblestone ect. You basically try to place the creeper inside that none protected obby space and have it blow up the none obby part of the base and light it up or make the creeper blow up with flint and steel. There are also more complicated harder ways of getting in but this is the most simplest.
So I need solid obby no gaps at all I just spent so long fixing my base now I have to undo that? I thought the obby could not be blown up...
You can't enderpearl through 2 layers of blocks and my base is at level 1 in the end also when you say gap you don't want blank space? You need blocks in your gap?
