So today, I started on a HUGE project, but I keep having a problem. When I place blocks, they disappear. Not all of them disappear though, just random ones. And sometimes I get stuck in a place and if I try to move, it glitches me back to that spot. It's extremely frustrating because this makes it hard to even build. I'm not sure what's going on, but hopefully it gets fixed.
It's been occurring all day. I've been getting frustrated and going offline, thinking it will become better next time I log on, but it never has. I've also never had this problem until today. It may be lag, but it is horribly bad.
Well... I frequently have this problem. But not as bad as you do; no offence. So here are some things that could be the problem! I have questions, and answers. Answers: If you are using a modpack called, "Smart Moving". Then you should get rid of it! This could be mainly be lag from the server, so I recommend getting a lot more ram for your computer or minecraft. Go to your settings and see if there is something wrong with them. Questions: Do you have the modpack called, "Smart Moving"? How long has this been happening? If this is happening recently, remove some of the downloads you have gotten recently. Please answer those questions above, an I will get back to you soon! If I can't fix these problems, please contact @Jess since he knows mostly about these problems. No, I don't have any mods on mine. This problem just started today, but the only thing I've downloaded when it started happening is a skin.. so yeah. I haven't encountered any lag items or anything recently. I have noticed a few other people talking about this problem earlier today in chat, but I haven't heard much.

Ok there is a explanation for this. There were two award shows going on and items were being dropped to vote for players and the chat was being spamming like crazy. Even a few staff were on trying to stop the spam @Thrawt! Nobody was listening to the staff though. Almost everyone was in one place so that also could of been a cause. Mainly it was chat and item spam though.
That is very true. That's what maybe was causing it. A lot of OP items were being thrown out. Again, thanks for more info @lightning968 !
Yep, I get this all the time. It is just server lag & it only should happen for temporary time periods while the server gets lag "spikes" which can cause problems such as this. I am assuming this was on creative? If so it could be because of: A. Creative is the most popular server on MineTime & has up to 325 players on it at once sometimes. B. There was a lot of players in the same area. C. The chat bar was getting so many requests from players wanting to post their message that it has caused lag. D. Op Items were being thrown around craIly. E. A lot of players had either mods, OptiFine, hacks or resource packs on at the time.
