It's working fine now. If you still can't connect, try relogging, or Just wait on the connection screen for a while.

Doing so requires migrating all player files to the new UUID system which can take quite some time and only happens the *first* time a server starts up on 1.7.8. Please be patient with us as we migrate one server at a time. If a server is down, it's probably being migrated. That must be the problem
It's working erratically. Even banned players are logging on. Me_goes_meow was in PvpFest and I forget to ask him for all his money since he's gonna get banned again once the migration bugs are sorted out. Aside from meow, at least 2 other banned players were online. Here's meow chatting on PvpFest a few hours ago:
Yeah, we're still working out the connection issues. Bans have been glitchy, but we will fix them. Everything should be basically okay right now.
I don't know why it says that because in the hub it says he has been off for over a month but then in PVPFest it says he was online three days ago unless he used the old ip. Also when I do /seen anarhaj it says he is unbanned.
Why the dislike? I realize anarhaj is your friend and (some) people like him and all, but he did some pretty bad things. I mean, you have to admit, he deserves his punishment.
I'll be on in like 2 or more hours. I'm coming off the forums, not permanently I'm just bored, I'll be back on later!
