Hackers...not cool

So yesterday my friend and I were on the prison server, and a person with the name "pandaswag" was found in our house, searching through our chests. Pandaswag isn't part of our faction, so I have no clue as to why he/she was aloud to do that. Anyways, my friend was attacked and killed, so i of course joined in and started attacking. Then, another guy (i didn't catch his name) attacked from behind and killed me. I went back to the house via /f home, but was killed immediately, so I tried again. This time, it said i did not even have a faction home, so i had to walk (we live on the edge of the west side of the freeworld, on the edge of a jungle by a desert) which of course took about 5-7 minutes, and this time didn't even make it inside the property before being killed by another guy guarding the ground (i think there were four.) My friend and I hiked over again to once again try to stop them, but they were no longer there. Our house (completely in the sky, no way up but /f home) was ripped apart, water flowing down, and everything good in the chests taken. Neither of us are planning on continuing on the server, but I would, however, like some explanation as to why this happened. Not why the people were motivated to do it (probably trolls or annoying children); but why it was allowed. The land on which the house was built was claimed (meaning nobody outside the faction could have, or at least should have been allowed to edit the land.) The house, like I said before, was completely engulfed in the sky, so there was no way they could have climbed up and seized the house like that. Is there any hack that allows that? Do land claims expire after a while? Is there some spot of authority where people are allowed to do that? Please respond and thank you for your time.
