I think that the starting price limit should be higher.

If I'm auctioning a stack of obsidian, or a really nice enchanted item, I'm expecting a lot more than the 1,000 that it's currently set at. If only a few people bid, I end up having to cancel the auction, which is annoying not only for me, but for the few people who bid who might actually pay a higher amount, but don't know that I won't take a smaller amount, so they bid low. If we could set the limit higher( I think 100,000 would be high enough) then people would know how much I expect to get and will bid, or not.

It would smooth a lot of the hassles of auctioning higher quality items and give people some insurance and peace of mind that the items they worked hard to get aren't going to be snipped at the last second for next to nothing.

But then people can abuse it, and put such items as a non enchanted book up for the price of $10000, and other incidents like this.

you should be paying attention to what you're bidding on. Also the only other way to sell things at a high price is to sell them to another player, but then you're relying on the other person to actually pay you, or vice versa, and people scam way too often to trust that system.

Its not what your bidding on, its that the Auc Que will become filled with useless over priced items.

Then maybe have a reserve type system in place to where I can set it so if it doesn't reach a certain amount it cancels the auction automatically at the end and I get my item back.
So lets say I type /auction 1 1000 1000 45 100000 so I'm auctioning 1 thing with a starting bid of 1000 and bid increments of 1000 timer of 45 seconds and a reserve price of 100000 and if no one bids over 100000 then the auction is canceled and I get my item back and no one wins it.

Well, the auction is already filled with completely useless items, and if its overpriced then no one will bid so problem solved. I would agree to a system to increase the starting bid, but it would be nice to see /auc cancel taken away for active auctions.

In the pvpfest server, no one can auction Tempest armor. Same with bows & all stuff like that & the Axe. So set permissions to where you can auction enchanted stuff & obsidian but nothin that's not enchanted. Might take a whe but just a thought! (Sorry for all the &s I am trying to get into the habit at school)
