Look, I'm sure you're nice and all, but I think you may be getting some (negative) ratings because: 1. You use messy and unorganized grammar that even someone who is not a grammar nazi would be flustered with. 2. Sometimes you talk in ALL CAPITALS. 3. You take everything a bit too personally, using unethical words to fit the situation such as "bullying". 4. You spiral posts on forums off-topic and ask why your post was rated negatively. If you really want to know why the did it, just PM them, start a conversation, or post it on their wall. 5. You complain if there are more than 2 "dumb" ratings received. Don't take this personally, it's just some of the habits I have noticed in your content. Maybe you should work on some of these things if you want less bad ratings. Also, "bad grammar/spelling" or "CamelCase" is only in the negative section because of the word "bad" and because nobody likes CamelCase. This isn't intended as a put down, but rather as a friendly reminder to use proper grammar, even if it is a small spelling mistake. This can be annoying when you post something in the more personal or off-topic threads, such as the thread "i like to derp" where the word "I" is not capitalized, and the period is missing. The person is just "derping", but it still may get bad grammar ratings which is annoying, but not a big issue. Sure, it gets abusive, I get people like @anar hajiyev and @KHkyleKH spamming me with bad ratings, but things happen. No matter how perfect, orderly, strict, overly-strict, or messy a system is, there will always be loopholes and people just waiting to find ways to abuse. There wouldn't be criminals and jails in the world if there were no abusers, so why remove people's freedom of rating things what they think of them? Even if we removed the rating system entirely, it would open up possibillities for people to look for new ways to abuse other things. If we removed negative ratings, people would eventually start spamming positive ones, not as bad, but still annoying. The point I am trying to make is that by restricting minor problems like this doesn't completely fix all the other things that could happen. Being stricter can often reduce problems, but also create them, and for this matter, the problem is so minimal, it doesn't even need to be discussed.
Sure, blame me, I gave you a bad rating because I disagreed with it. But I agree they should be taken off the site.
I think that we should keep some of the negative buttons, but I believe that we should at least change the, "Dumb" button, as it sounds too negative.
I definitely feel like negative ratings should continue to be on the site as a feature for the content. Although, it could be changed up potentially in a more ordered fashion. One possible idea could be that only 'trusted' members who have a certain amount of positive ratings could have the ability to rate things negative. If anything, the 'dumb' rating seems to be the one causing there issues. Even using the word 'dumb' to rate something is very irrational and unrealistic for properly trying to get a view across.
Dude, I made a new rule, how about you? You've spammed me bad grammar ratings for no reason! Can you stop? Because you're abusing it, and what have I ever done to hurt you?!
No, it shows what the player did wrong so they can fix it the next time they post. Most people don't though.
