I personally had a problem similar to this before. Although I'm using mac, it says I've turned on firewall on mac so it has blocked access for minecraft to launch.
Was able to log on my minecrsft account and join the server eventually after turning firewall off

I'm also on mac, and my firewall is off.

Must be something within Mojang. If you're at school, some school districts block games like Minecraft. But if you're at home, just be patient and wait.

Then it's something on Mojang's side. Just wait it out, perhaps check this out and stay updated.

Sorry that it happened. I have a client open AFKing for me right now. If it happens for me, I'll reply to this and tell you.

Are you trying to login with your Username or email?
Also did you have a minecraft account and bought it straight from there or did you have a mojang account?

Are you using a VPN? Sometimes if you use a VPN in too many different locations within a short period of time it can cause Mojang to think your account is hacked, meaning you'll have to reset your password to be able to log back in. This has happened to me before when I use VPN's.

Email. I think it's a Mojang account. The account is still active and everything so I don't think that's the problem.

No, I'm not using any VPN :/

Try resetting your password anyway, see if that works.
