First off, I would like to say that I understand what is being asked. This is not a job. In a job, you work, you get rewards. This is not a job. This is a volunteer position, and I will treat it as such (i.e. I understand that there are no rewards or compensation other than the satisfaction of being kind). I'm not trying to become staff for anecdotal purposes or superioretal complexity power. I have been around for over 2 years, and I have seen 3 official helper apps opened, over 100 helpers promoted, and lots of change happen. Your in-game name: ido_pieguy What timezone are you in? I think I should become a Helper because of my many admirable traits, superb dedication, and wide-spread overall knowledge of the server. My traits, in themselves, are of great number and quality, their values being well observed and evaluated. My superb dedication to the server is admirable, considering that I've been on the Forums for over 2 years, and the server for over 3. Also, I'm quite well know throughout the server. People mention me, talk about me, converse with me. I'm generally friendly, and I'm only quick to snap back to someone if they're putting someone else down, or they're being abusive in general. Some of my opinions, are just my opinions, however. You have to read this thread and decide for yourself. Knowledgeable I think I should become Helper because I am knowledgeable. There are quite a few people who I have wronged and who would not want me as Helper. However, these same people would have to agree that I know my stuff. I frequent all the servers and my English skills, rationality, and plausibility are top notch. Hardworking I've been around for quite a while, been involved with lots of situations that require time and energy. I'm willing to put forth that time and energy into creating theories, delving into stories, and gathering evidence as seen in many of my posts. I'm available for many hours out of the day, and if I'm accepted, I would keep up that same consistency. Equality One of the reasons I would be good as helper is my sense of fairness and being unbiased. I would never treat anybody differently because of their rank, position, or any other aspect. Sometimes, there will be situations where I'm forced to choose who to believe, this or that. I would never just go with whoever is more trusted, nor would I just simply punish the other person if they were known for bad behavior. I would take time to investigate it, and make a fair honest decision. I believe this respect for all players would be an admirable trait if I were to be helper. Server-Wide Access As a long-time member of the forums and server, I know my way around well. I'm known well on every server, and I'm not too bad at most of the games either. That means I know all the glitches, tricks, and rules people can break and how to stop them. This server-wide access would provide me with much capability to be easily available and reliable. Reliability I am quite the reliable person. I always make appointments, am rarely late, and pretty much follow through on everything I do. That means I would never take bribes, play favorites, or be inactive. I believe that reliability is one of the best traits a person can have, because it means you can trust that person. That's the kind of relationship I want with the other players, and you can be sure to expect the same reliability if I get accepted for the helper position. Dedication I'm very dedicated to the server as evidenced by the many hours I've logged, my rank, and my achievements (new hack beta testing, large creative builds, entrepreneurship skills, etc.) I've learned so much about Minetime to the point where I can introduce new people to everything and everyone on it, no sweat. Also, I'm #1 on the Skyblock /baltop, Citizen (almost Freeman) on Prison, SgtMaj on Infection, and was one of the 5 beta testers for MTPrime. (Forums & In-game) I have never been banned from the forums or in-game. Do you have any past experience as a moderator/helper? Last time there were Helper apps, I was the first to submit mine. I don't have much other experience of staff other than my vast knowledge of Minetime's servers. I am pretty knowledgeable when it comes to what hacks should not be allowed (map jumping on Infection, entity spamming on creative, dupe hacks on Prison, etc.) Hopefully, the new change of ownership and the older players becoming staff will make the server better as we know what to expect and what to do.
