Hello everyone, I have decided to retire as a Minetime Moderator. A list of reasons why I have decided to retire are below. I will still check back on the forums to chat and keep in touch so it is up to Tyler, Jess, and the rest of the staff whether or not to allow me to keep my rank here on the forums and whether or not to keep me in the staff chats. When the server reopens I will check back from time to time, but I’ll have a `Timeless` rank which Collin gave me the first time I retired. I can assure you I will not be returning as a staff member in-game anymore. I only did the first time because Minetime was short on staff and I thought I would do Collin and the rest of the staff a favor by joining back. Reasons I’m Resigning: These are in no certain order. Java and Plugin Development. I’ve decided to devote more of my time learning more of the Bukkit/Spigot API and other APIs that will help me on future resumes, such as the BungeeCord API. No, I have not given up on Minecraft and I will still be active on my Twitter and somewhat active on these forums. I will just be focusing on developing for servers instead of monitoring them. If Minetime would like to hire me in a few months as a developer I would gladly come back and create some custom gamemodes and mini-games for you all to enjoy along with fixing other gamemodes. This Community As most of you may know, I have been here longer than all the current staff, I was accepted on July 18th, 2013, and I have seen Minetime turn into something I never really liked and never wanted to see it become. Back when I first became a staff member Minetime was actually a “Family Friendly Server” as it was suppose to be, but for the last year or two that changed, a lot. When the server was open I would always see someone bullying someone else or saying that they were going to hack someone’s Internet, in 2013 you never saw anything like this. Even the forums now are filled with hatred towards one another over stupid things. Old Friends I know this sounds like a bad excuse to `retire from a server,` but to be honest the only ones who kept me going as a staff member here on Minetime were the friendships I developed with other staff members and players, like @Dovashy, @PokecraftPhreak, @MinetimeSupport, @CxttenCxndy, @daelwolf, @Collin, @Megan, and @Thrawt. Most of them have retired and/or don’t play Minecraft anymore, but some are still here like @Sheldon and @Ollie. I still talk to most of them via Skype and catch up, but without them on Minetime I don’t really see myself enjoying my time as a staff member here anymore. If you have any questions I have decided to unlock my profile so anyone can ask questions publicly or you can send me a private message to ask one. My message to everyone is give @Noobcrew and @CypriotMerks a break. . You guys are in good hands with them being the server owners. Most of you may not know this, but Noobcrew was a Minetime Moderator back when I was a Helper and for a few weeks of me being Moderator. He knows the server and knows what he is doing. Remember how busy Collin was trying to maintain this server and how he never really got a chance to talk to us like he probably hoped to? Well keep in mind Noobcrew has to maintain two servers and now also has to maintain Minetime, it’s not like he has that much time to make an announcement thread like most of you hoped. He will make an announcement once he has a chance we just need to be patient. (BTW I know a few people are going to disagree with this because they ‘dislike’ me or because they think I’m ‘ignorant.’ All I can say to that is go right ahead it just proves my point how people like you have ruined Minetime for a lot of us.) Good luck and best wishes for Minetime and it’s community. I’ve had a good run here, but it’s time for me to finish the race. Sincerely, - Parker
Bye, I personally never knew you. But I am sure you were a great benefit to the network. Peace and gl in life.
I wish you the best of luck to your JAVA developing adventures! Thank you for all the great memories!
Cya Parker! Had some good times with you. jk, I think I made you rage once. (you seemed pretty pissed too xD )
Yes! I was thinking of this but debated if I should bring it up since I'm not in charge of Minetime. But I do support the idea of @Parker becoming Developer.
I remember having 1 conversation with you last year while using a friends account, quite a nice dude! Enjoy your life! I am also looking into Java and Plugin development! See you around, - Alex I recall reading somewhere earlier this morning that Tyler and Jess are Minetimes casual developers?
I don't know you too well but I'm sure you were a great staff member. Thanks for everything you've done and good luck in developing in the future!
It's sad to see a staff member go! I remember when we used to play Zombie Infection together even before you get staff. I have had many fun times with you, even though we stopped talking to each other. I wish you to succeed in life and good luck on your Java and Plugin development career.
Bye Parker, you are such a nice person and this community will miss you and its sad to see you go. You have done alot for me and you are an amazing moderator and you helped me massively in many ways. I understand and I wish you the best of luck <3 I am quite shocked tbh @HypedVitani
Thank-you! It has been quite the adventure. Did you? I don't recall.. Thank-you! Maybe just maybe We haven't had a full-time developer since Trent. Collin had a list of people who he asked for plugins and paid per project, but that's about it. Thank-you! What conversation, I'd like to take a look? Tyler and Jess aren't really developers. Their job here is to help maintain all the servers, fix bugs within console/configs, and push updates. I believe they do this only through console. The good ol' days! Thank-you so much had some great times with all the Infection players. It was and has always been my favorite server! Awh thank-you! I'll definitely be checking back in from time to time to keep up with everything and get in touch with some players! Thank-you! Don't worry they'll find someone better like, @Sooplie, @Behemothic, @Ollie, and/or any of our amazing Helpers. Thank-you and it is very unfortunate, humanity as a whole that is.
I don't have the chat logs, but it was ingame, when you were online with AgentScreem on factions. We had a conversation about what it was like being relentlessly assaulted when you're out of /v
