This is currently what I am working on (Although I don't actually want a 980 ti, awaiting the release of the 1070). In my own opinion it's not worth getting something that is just "good enough" because you want an improvement in game-play so quickly. If you can wait for a bigger budget or make/save more, you can wait longer and get something you will be a lot more happy with. If you do desperately want an improvement, it is ultimately your time and money going into it, I personally don't think I $500 budget will be something you will be satisfied with while gaming.
That's overkill, lmao. That RAM is just beautiful. Have you bought any of the parts yet? Great choice in monitor btw.
I have all of the peripherals except for the keyboard right now. The case, CPU, motherboard and fans are on their way to me. I also want 2 of the monitors but I am gonna wait on that for a while lol
All you need is a screwdriver and depending on what else you buy some other tools... it's not that hard. Try looking at tutorials or reading booklets that came with the parts to see how to place each part right.
True true. The only learning for building a computer I've done is simply watch monthly PC builds on various tech-related YouTube channels and built my cousins computer with him in April. Other than that, I don't see a need for any other learning, the rest is just common sense and eyesight, and patience.
