    Hello,
Im currently using a Macbook Air laptop and its getting pretty darn slow everyday. I was thinking i could get a new desktop for gaming. I did some research but i was not sure on what to get. My budget is around $500 and i want it to play Steam games and minecraft pretty smoothly. Can i please get some suggestions on what kind of desktop pc i should get? Also im not really familiar with computing terms such as ram and GB's so help me please? :D

    Thanks,
    YargiFFA

for that price I suggest a i5 processor and maybe 8gb or 4gb of ram and a 1tb storage, although It wont be able to run hardcore games it would be able to run minecraft smoothly and still would be quite fast. scan.co.uk is quite a cheap computering shop but they know what they're doing I highly recommend them. Also would you want a box and a monitor or just a desktop pc?

Welll, here in Australian for a laptop or PC that has 8gb RAM, 1TRB storage, 2gb graphic card and an i5-i7 processor is around $800-$1000. So $500 wont be getting you anything fancy, can you tell me your nationality so I can find something good for you?

I advice you keep your mac and simply clear everything you don't need, or restore it to factory settings and add what you need. Also update everything like the macs software. I had the same problem as you, so I literally did everything I just said and its never been faster since. If it still doesn't do as you wish then purchase a Mac RAM upgrade kit so you can run games better. With my mac I run roughly 100 fps on the majority of games I play, which is more than enough for me. Personally I would never switch to a PC after having a mac.

To run Minecraft smoothly, you will at least need a i6 processor which is at least $800

Buy your own parts and make a computer? X) I think it's cheaper than buying a computer, or so I've heard.

Sorry, I wont give it, but I'll give you some tips to get money easier:

    1. Sell trash-boxes.
    2. Make a youtube channel and make good videos.
    3. Work in a strip-club.
    4. And so on..
