If they are going to edit the kits, they would've done so, two seconds after they made the server. They either don't care or think it's balanced. My simple guess is that they think it's balanced because if they didn't think so, then why couldn't they change it?
I'm guessing they thought it would reduce gametime and not drag the game for too long. There's supposed to be a winner in this minigame, only one. Who know's, it's just an empty guess.
Let it start at Prestige 2 at Sharpness 5. The higher prestige level, the higher the sharpness enchantment level.
It does reduce great time, significantly. For example, the map temple. It takes about 30 seconds for the game to end because of the sharp 20 bows. There is so much sharp 20 bows now, it's extremely hard to get kill streaks. There is also a large amount of prestige 10 on the server, who get an enchanted golden apple, an egg, sharp 20 bow and arrows, with these items, they are basically invincible. If the sharp 20 bow was removed, players would be able to survive for a longer period of time, and are able to get kill streaks. In general, zombie infection is about killing zombies/humans, not flying to a roof and hiding from the sharp 20 bows.
There is already a timer, how much time are they trying to limit? 300 seconds is good enough, they would've edited the time as well if they wanted quicker games, plus people hack on it anyways. So, you add an op bow for hackers to have, just to have reduce game time, even though they can just edit the timer on each game? That's kind of a bit much don't you think?
Sharp 20 bows don't make it infection where zombies and humans are evenly overpowered, or underpowered, most maps sharp 20 bows and gapples make the game more like hide and seek. I'm Neutral, as the game is fun (for me) either way, however it's annoying if you don't have a bow...
I've never really been a fan of them, personally. They're one of the main reasons that I never really played infection as a player years ago.
You guys must have passed over my post...lol Just make the Sharpness enchant gradually increase through out the Prestige levels. Start it at like sharpness 5 or something at Prestige 2, then upgrade the level as the Prestige level grows.
I agree to a degree that sharp 20 bows are to overpowered but you could put a spin on it the other way are the human kits just to bad. To be honest in my opinion I believe that even if prestige 10's get a sharp 10 bow they will still be able to 4 hit people that's still over powered, to be honest it doesn't really matter if zombies have a god apple no matter what the humans have without the bow glitch that used to occur zombies will always overpower the humans.
