I love how some people are treating this as if they're losing their life

If worse comes to worse, I can just edit all future versions to remove the blacklist.

    For the 4th time today:

    - You will not lose your ranks
    - Minetime is not shutting down
    - The Administrators have the situation under control

Becoming more interested, I looked further into this and the block will remain until the server decides to comply with the EULA, but doing so will cause huge profit loss and could end up in not being able to pay the server bills.. If they dont comply the server will be forever stuck on 1.8 and im pretty sure the staff are smart enough to know the server wont survive like that, eventually it will become very outdated and players will lose interest swiching clients and downgrading... Basically my thinking says that either choice wouldnt end well.

There are also rumors that mojang might revoke support for running servers on outdated versions, which i dont believe is possible with the way they code, but you never know.

And if Mojang goes and takes legal action? What would Minetime do there?

Thats what everyone says about every update it eventually evens out and then people move on to it. 1.8 was buggy when it first was released but do you ever see anyone using 1.7 anymore? It will take some time for things to transition to 1.9 and then 1.8 will end up exactly like 1.7: 6 feet under.

Once again, servers won't be blacklisted when they become compliance with the EULA. When Minetime has to update past 1.9.3, then we will be EULA compliant, this doesn't affect previously bought items however.

You're correct, but at the time being, 1.9 sucks because it's buggy.

Everything that Jayzz is saying is completely true and unless minetime complies with the EULA it is getting shut down.

after digging more i wouldnt say shut down YET, its only a matter of time before big servers like minetime cant afford to keep the server going and just take the money they have and run before it all gets drained into bills lol. Thats what lots of big server owners are doing at this point

Well it will get blacklisted and it will have to deal with repaying those ranks without using a pay to win method, which will be a huge pain in the ***.

My question on this post is asking what the future looks like for the server.. Are they going to comply or not? Are we going to stay strictly 1.8 or give into mojangs commands? Id love input from @Tyler and @Collin if they have already made up a decision.

Everyone who already bought a rank gets to keep their purchase. Though this got me thinking of how minetime will re-work the ranking system to provide ranks to new players who want them.

    1. There will be no need to repay ranks, since people will not lose them
    2. When Minetime has to update to 1.9.3, it will be EULA compliant, people who have purchased ranks previously will keep their ranks.
    3. By buying a rank, you agree to our terms of service, which states as follows:

How will they keep their ranks if l
no, minetime will have to give players who have bought ranks previously other perks in the game other than "pay to win". That includes "hats, titles, pets" which more than likely won't be good enough for a lot of people. That's why his is such a big deal.

I think shes right.. To agree with the EULA, you cant give "pay to win" items such as armor, swords, pots, ect in purchases ranks. Thats the whole reason of all this. Thats why mineplex and hypixel sell stuff like hats and stuff because it does not give an advantage.

If you aren't EULA compliant by the update, they will start taking legal action towards the server. I'm not saying it's going to be shutdown, but Minetime might have to go to court.
