Hey there, so I've been thinking hard about what changes could help the Minetime servers. I have broken this down into all the servers and will dedicate at least 2 hours on each server, thinking up some possible changes. If you have an idea post it in this thread, and delete your post once I've added it (to keep the thread clean). Sorry about the terrible format of this post! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Skywars 1) Players keep item(s) bought from spawn to in-game. Survival 1) Automatically give players with the rank MVP or higher their $1000 and 30 exp. Skyblock Creative Prison 1) Revoke players access to button and levers in factions' claims (unless of course they're in the faction). 2) Seriously, why is tp not enabled?!?!? Factions Zombie Infection 1) When joining a game that's already started, make them human. PvP fest (kit PvP) I know it's being considered, but maybe replace the /fly function with a double jump feature. Op PvP Hunger Games 1) Add a scoring system, maybe if you have a high score you spawn in with a stone sword. All Servers/Server Hub 1) On all servers when you enter the lobby through a server portal (lobby portal in a server) and then rejoin that server spawn them in the middle of spawn (it sometimes spawned you in the portal mean you go back and forth). Website 1) Remove inactive threads each month.
All great ideas! Although for creative Timeless gets permanent World Edit access so I don't think any other ranks would get the same and for op pvp, the entire point of it is really just to see who's armor is stronger of might break first, which is why there are so many op apples and op gear around, hence the name "Op pvp"
Hunger games, I know they are doing a re-write but just some ideas that could be added. Scoring System: Adding a scoring system like the one on Skywars. New Maps: I think it would be cool if there were some new maps to play on, maybe even replace a older map? New Loot Drops: Add some more items? For example add Xp bottles in one chest, then in another chest there would be a enchanted book. You could combine these with a weapon at the spawn area to get a enchanted sword. Though there should only be 1-2 enchanted books per map. Just some ideas
On the website suggestion, going through and removing inactive threads isn't the greatest idea. A lot of informational threads don't get posted on, they only get read so would you remove the resource because it is inactive? Also having older threads 'locked' not removed prevents questions coming up over and over again (Sometimes).
I like all the ideas except for this one at least the once a month part. I think there should be a limit on threads so as the more active threads stay at the top set a limit say 250 (random number) so as new threads are created past the 250 limit (each section of forums as the 250 limit not all together) it would push the inactive ones either into deletion or just saved in a database offsite. So data is not lost but is off the site to help clean up forums. It would keep the most active threads here and not chance deletion but would push the older (dead) threads "off the map" per say.
