So, I just got into building a desktop. Now, I don't know anything about this. I only know the simple stuff like GHz and the parts needed to build one. I'm just curious though, if you have a custom desktop build, what did you put in it? If you can tell me, that'll be great so I can maybe get those parts and do some research on them. Thanks!
http://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Table ^ If you mean this, go with it and simply make the table top smaller and add any modifications you need. If you mean a desktop computer, http://www.wikihow.com/Build-a-Personal-Desktop-Computer I would also go with an AMD processor, something like this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/AMD-FX8350-..._1?ie=UTF8&qid=1456593703&sr=8-1&keywords=amd You should also know more about the parts, but a quick run through with those youtube videos should do fine. If you need more help, ask.
Thanks! I'm currently looking at an Intel Pentium G3258 processor. It's supposed to be a really good processor for a fast computer for gaming. What are your thoughts on it?
Should I go with the AMD one or Intel one? Sorry for the questions, I don't know anything about this stuff besides the GHz they offer.
I actually have one ready made by a moderator on PCPartpicker, I was originally going to use it but the. I decided not to because I'm too stupid to build a PC.
AMD are better for Graphics but it depends which one E.g A8 is mine A10 is the best. and what ram you are going for
For gaming: You'll need a decent cpu, a higher end one won't make too much of a difference, especially if you don't do much multitasking. The gpu will make all the difference though, 40fps+ at high settings on most games will come from an nvidia 960 GTX/equivalent. I'm currently using a 950m (laptop) and that gets me a good 60fps on medium settings when playing most games. Along with that you'll really want to look deeply into cooling, I can't really recommend anything since I'm using a laptop. You won't need any more than 8gb of ram. Multitasking, if you can't spare the money, up it to 16. I doubt it'll make a large difference though. You can never be too safe with these things, get suggestions and then list your parts on forums for a check from someone more experienced. If in doubt though, a laptop can pump out the performance for a relatively low price. For example: Lenovo Y50 15.6-Inch Full HD 1080p Notebook (Intel Core i7-4720HQ 2.6 GHz, 16 GB RAM, 1 TB HDD, DVD-RW, WLAN, Bluetooth, Camera, Nvidia GTX 960M 2G, Windows 8.1) - Black with Free Windows 10 Upgrade https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B012VMWD04/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_YKE0wbWZWHH49
The PC im planning to go with is for gaming. But its hard to get the money you need to get enough RAM, good job im almost 16 though
I'm going for a separate GPU chip. Ram, not sure yet. I'm focusing on the processor right now. Ok, thanks!
This would be good info for me too, I don't know a lot about building a PC, but when I'm 16 - college and college means level 3/2 computing course. And I'll be learning. I'm going to put this in my notes
http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/parts/partlist/ It'll tell you the price, specs and popularity of each component. Best thing is it'll also show compatibility. Try and build for your budget, then ask around for suggestions on whether it'll suite your needs and what not, I doubt you'll get a decent response here though.
