Skywars Banning people that use fly-hacks.

This is not only possible on skyblock. If you take damage on most servers, you can fly for a few seconds.

 

No? haha, this would ruin the whole point to hacking. Not many staff moderate skywars either so you can't simply ban every single one?

 

I just recorded someone fly hacking :/

 

Hacking is allowed, as long as it doesn't harm the server or players. Check the rules.

Maybe not a permanent ban, but a on the spot temporary ban to discourage flying around.

 

Hacking is allowed, but not catered for. This means that if you're caught hacking in a player report, you won't be banned (unless it harms the server or players). This doesn't mean that plugins that stop players from hacking can't be added. For example, on most of the PvP servers, NC+ has been added, stoping players from flying using hacks.

 

New ways will always be made to get around it... Trying to ban them is a lost cause.

 

We will not be punishing people for using modified clients, or any aspect of them, unless it is used to harm the server or breach our rules. Punishing people in anyway would be going against the rules we've set. I highly doubt this will be changing any time soon.

 

That's quite understandable and you do have a point
There's nothing wrong with hacks but honestly allowing people to fly in skywars basically ruins the point of playing skywars and makes it unfair to new players or just players in general just saying.

 

It's up to the Administrators to update all plugins. If NC+ is at the current version, then there's nothing that will be done about it. Plus, it's not unfair, as people obviously have an internet connection and can download said modified clients. If they are having issues with installing them correctly, then I'm sure Google, or just someone in the Minetime community, would be able to help.

I do believe the NC + is outdated though and needs to be updated to prevent people from flying.
Also most clients that do have fly don't work on skywars anyway so even if you downloaded a worthy hacked client then the fly will most likely not work.
Even trying to fly in lobby results in you getting kicked with most hacked clients.

 

That is up to the Administrators to update, if they wish. If your modified client doesn't get around NC+, then we can't simply turn around and say "Oh, hey, your client isn't allowed to do that, but others are allowed to do it because they get kicked by our plugin." That'd be going against the following:

Incase you're confused to how this would be applied in this situation, the part that says "...will not help you install modified clients or cater to your modified clients by delaying server update..." While not specifically stating that we won't cater for your modified client by punishing those that do more than your client, it still applies.

Flying is a hacked client I'm not sure why it would be banned.

 

Flying is a part of most hacked clients it's not a hacked client itself just a hack in the package of the hacked client
Also @Teabag2001 is merely saying this because having people fly around and kill people just ruins the point of playing skywars which I highly agree with.
Hacks are fine but allowing people to fly around should simply not be allowed

But it's honestly not hard to find out all they'd have to do is ask someone like a helper or staff or just someone willing to answer their question

 

This won't happen because hacks are allowed and Collin said himself that won't change.
