Hello, I personally think that creative needs a revamp where you build in order to get an ingame rank. This would give creative a purpose and hopefully give players motivation to build better in order to through an obsticle. First of all my ideal creative needs a build battle, more info can be found here: https://www.minetime.com/threads/build-battles.19255/ Secondly creative needs a system where you build up to the standard in order to recieve an ingame rank (as I've said). Ideally we need about 5 or so ranks, and as you go up those ranks you get bigger plots in a different world. And as you get to the 3rd or 4th rank you should be able to use limited world edit or full world edit. And the 5th rank would be in a different world with full world edit as well as limited voxel sniper. Keep in mind that achieving an in game rank won't be easy. So hopefully the 4th rank will be almost up to the Buildteam standards and be trustworthy enough to use full world edit. If not then a ban would be enough. The 6 following ranks ingame. (names were copied lol) Apprentice (to start off) Veteran Ledari Centurion Sentinel Legatus Apprentice --> Veteran To get to apprentice to veteran you will need to build, on a small plot, a house with some detail as well as an organic with proper terrain. Veteran --> Ledari To get to veteran to ledari you will need to build, on a small plot, multiple houses with proper depth and detailing as well as an organic with proper terrain. After you have recieved ledari you should get a ticket for a plot on the big plot (which is on another world), and the plots would be 250x250. Ledari --> Centurion For centurion, you will need a 100x100 plot that provides multiple structures and organics, with proper detailing and terrain. Centurion --> Sentinel For the next rank up, you will need a full 250x250 plot that has large structures with maximum detailing and a complex organic with complex terrain. Legatus would be a rank a custom rank for ex-buildteams or players that are up to the buildteam standards but don't want to be in buildteam. As an apprentice you will get 1 plot, and you will need to build or vote to get a rank up. (Rank up = +1 plot.) Vet = 2 plots Led = 2 plots, 1 big plot, Cent = 2 plots, 2 big plots, Sent = 2 plots, 2 big plots, 1 mega plot (500x500) Legatus = idk If a player wants his/her plot to be review he/she could do a command to do so: /review submit. To check if it has been check: /review check. To see the requirements for the next rank: /review. For staff or the bts to check their builds. The people that are going to be checked has to meet the requirements so the staff or the bts could do a command to rank them to a next rank: /rankup <name>. Double rank: If your builds are extraordinary like it makes several bts go wow, then you might recieve a double rank so that means you go from apprentice straight to ledari.
I like these ideas, but how will the custom plugin actually analyse the build? Unless build-team and or staff can give the ranks.
I just think people should be given 100x100 plots so they can actually make something half decent. But Build Battles would and the ingames would still be cool. The way the creator of Plotz has it setup, it would be hard to do this. The developer team would have to make their own Plots plugin, or modify Plotz just to be able to do this. (My info may be outdated because I haven't decompiled Plotz in a while)
Great idea, but I was thinking how would the builds get judged? You couldn't view hundreds of builds a day... Either way, extraordinary idea.
The BuildTeam isn't just sitting around. They're either busy with their personal lives or they're building new content for the community. They come online every once in awhile because they need a break too.
What if the people doesn't like the server that have to build to achieve the ranks for the BuildTeam , well you know , most of the people on creative server are like role play , there is a lot players who doesn't really like to build and stuff , but what if , Collin added other portal , the portal name would be 'Build Team server' for the people who are interested for Minetime BuildTeam rank. This is the suggestion for the player who are interested if Collin can make other portal
I say that this is not a great idea because of how it would be executed. It would be fine if we had about 150~ bt members to judge but we have about 25 and near 400 people on Creative. Judging it via amount of blocks placed could be exploited, and you might lose build team members because all they would be doing is judging builds.
Not a great idea, it would better if you extended your build battle idea, and made it like some other servers where everyone votes on a build. Wins give you points that would add up to give you a new prefix. It would remove the hassle of the BT checking everyone's builds and instead they could earn there rank automatically. Your last idea about the ranks getting more plots, isn't possible. Most people already paid for ranks so they could get more plots. If Minetime removed that feature, some people might charge back, because they paid money just to get the plots.
Wouldnt sentinal be up to build to standards and maybe even better then some people on the build team
