So a few days ago, while playing Infection, I found out that map jumping is now kickable* (thx proofofexistence). I have alerted some of my team who map jump and we're in the process of making this fact known to the whole infection server, but there are still some people who don't know. That's why I'm creating this thread so, for those who do go on Infection and have a forums account, will know about this new rule and we hope you spread this important piece of information with the players who don't know!
Hopefully together we can help the staff members spread the word!

(Please read proofofexistence's reply to get more information)

This information is actually incorrect. Map jumping will only get you kicked (/kick) from the server. You will be able to reconnect to the server straight after you were kicked with no ban or warning, and for those who didn't know, keep in mind that Map jumping is not permitted.

It started to get enforced more recently over the past week or 2.

Yes! They deserve some sort of punishment, and I'm happy with a kick being it. Hopefully it wards them off :)!

Is "Map jumping" hoping from the map to another area where it is un-reachable?

    Yes.

Also, this was annoying, but a simple "/kick" isn't going to stop this. Up it to a tempban to enforce it.

    True

How about using barrier blocks to prevent players from getting out of the map?

This is a really good feature to make it more fair to everyone in the server, but there are still people who do the same principle but instead stay on the map and go to a spot no one can reach... One example is too Phaze through the barrier on, errr.. (sorry, haven't played Minetime for a while) I think it's Town or something like that? Please correct me...

If they continue to do this we will warrant them with a warning (/warn), then maybe a temp ban.

You should underlined the "maybe" instead of the tempban, it would've made more sense...

I hate to be this person, but "than" is being used incorrectly. It should be "then."

Macs auto-correct certain things, I may have to set a few things up in the settings properly, thank you for noticing.

I might come back to Infe tion now that people cannot fly to other areas of the map and I will definitely come back once new maps are finally added. I am so happy that people can't just fly to win amymore :D

Wait so does map jumping include jumping to somewhere else in the map? Such as in Nuketown, going out of the main area and into more of the town? And in Halloween flying up the tree to settle in a cobweb where no one can get you?

I hated when we would be playing desert and there were 30 people on the glass dome. I had to use my hacked client again XD I killed all of them they make me so mad.

No that is just getting to a spot in a map but is still in the map. Map jumping is like going from Halloween to towers (it is possible I used to do it).
