DDOS and Minetime

    I've gotten into many other competitive and non-competitive gaming communities lately and for some reason the only time I have ever seen ddos threats or issues with it is maybe once or twice with players being ddosed in cs:go tournaments for hundreds of thousands of dollars. Why is this community so hostile and does it have to do with the lack of staff enforcing a friendly community. Or maybe the "hacked client friendly enviroment" brings the more disrespectful and rude players. Id just love to see issues like this get better within the Minetime community. I recently started fading away from Minetime as the forums and in-game environment becomes more and more toxic.

    ^ That is possible, but from what I have observed all other competitive servers have the exact same issue with DDoS threats we have and on basically the same scale. DDoS/hacking threats and attacks are a huge problem for all popular competitive Minecraft servers, and we do the best we can to stop these things.

    That article states that people can not get your IP from Minetime only from Skype but if you haven't notice people now use MineCraft Stressers that can get someone's Ip from In game.

    Guys if you get DDosed via skype its easy to prevent it. First off if someone got your IP already i believe you need to change it. Second of you can change the options on skype so only your friends will ever manage to find your IP, which gives you full controll of your skype. Third of when you have changed the options dont add people you dont know. Simple eh?

    You can't get someone's IP from in game. If you see a "Minecraft Stresser" that claims it can, it's just a scam trying to get you to take a bunch of surveys or make you download a virus.

    Th3_Crazed got my brothers IP Via MineCraft Stresser My brother did the thing @Nuggets made a post about and he is not on his Skype list and Th3_Crazed has been DDoSing ever since.

    You cant ddos just from skype. There are other ways.
