If we destroy our shop chests and our private chests and then place them after we have changed our name, will that work?
Basically from what Collin has said, do yourself a favor and don't change your username on the release. He also hinted at at least waiting a little bit while all the bugs are worked out. Another thing, changing your username to pose as another user is probably frowned upon by staff and other players. I'd suggest not doing so as it will most likely have negative consequences towards you. Also, Mojang has stated they PLAN on releasing on February 4th, so don't get your hopes up if it is delayed. Something I would like to add, I wish Collin provided the link to the forum post regarding name changes. My name is too legit to be changed. But I have a minecraft account that I might change the name of. Also my alt is called VeizzoALT and I'm going to change it to VeizzoAlt so no Capitals at the end part.
Question. As you said about the signs.... They talk about how you can take another users old name if they change it but you have to wait 37 days until it is available... does that mean if MinecraftUser1 made a chest shop and changed his name (the name will not change for chestshop as said) to MinecraftUser2 and I wait out that 37 days and change my name to MinecraftUser1 can I have access to his chest shop and or there lockette chest if I am added to his/her island? (not saying I would do this, just a simple question)
Maybe. This is why it suggested that you do not change your username drastically before all of the bugs are worked out.
