This server at first was so fun, till people get butthurt over dying and start ddosing. I mean, it was'nt to big of a deal but it was making me mad. I got over it, but this is just to far. Swatting is when you make a false report to trigger a swat team to invade your home. Now these cops don't give a **** at all, and you need to take action soon cause this is to far. Btw I was in a jail cell for 5 hours waiting for something to be done cause they said I killed 3 people and was holding someone hostage, so **** this server and thnks for your appreciation.
I do agree that some of the player's on factions can be extremely immature. We can't really do anything about being ddosed, unless you have a screenshot of the full screen of them threatening you. The only advice I would say is get a VPN and don't give your skype out to people you don't know.
I actually find it so stupid that people actually do this over a game. I mean, Come on, You die in a game so you send a swat team to someones house because you got your nickers in a twist? Absolutely unbelievable .
It just shows what we have resulted to, hating each other. I find it ironic that despite Minetime's actions have been to prevent this kind of behaviour and make it a family friendly environment, but it just ends up the complete opposite. While chatting may be a huge part of Minetime, I highly suggest a much stronger chat filter goes in place. While you can continue to add new features and forget about the old/small things, just touching up on them will give a whole new experience.

DDoS attacks are avoidable for people who know how to work with IT. 1. Close mosts ports. 2. Make sure your Skype only allows direct connections from your contacts. 3. Use a VPN. Don't something like hotspot shield, that isn't even a real VPN, it's a proxy program. Make your own, use OVH for like $4 a month. 4. Buy advanced Internet monitoring software and have it watch your IP. 5. If the attacks continue, and you know who's doing it, hit them with everything you got.
I have never seen DDoS threats and attacks become so big on other servers. But then again they have more staff who moderate the chats most of the time, so if there is a threat going around they will be banned instead of being reported and possibly being banned 2 weeks later if the staff are 100% sure that it isn't fakechat.
There would be no fake chat on other servers as there are no servers that allow hacks other than here.
This is getting ridiculious- it is really annoying, i know i get mad because i die- i always have an honest reason, but sometimes i just do die on my own fault. some people take things too serious and it just plain and simply needs to stop. simple.
It was always unsafe, there are just more wannabe hackers that have bought booters/stressors and think they can never be caught.
Minetime has nothing to do with swatting. Someone swatting you is completely beyond our control and jurisdiction.
How would you know that there isn't .fakechat on other servers? I'd say there is more of a chat that .fakechat would be used on a server that doesn't allow hacks as no one would expect it.
A great way to avoid that happening is to not give strangers on the internet your full name and home address.
