This is NOT a player report. This is my lame attempt at storytelling (I hope to someday be as good as @QueenofAmazing ) This is a true PvpFest story. Yesterday, I killed one of PvpFest's best players: BobberX1. It was a sad day. Not because he died, but because it was also the death of our friendship. BobberX1 started playing Minetime just recently. But his fighting prowess in PvpFest soon became apparent and we were naturally drawn to each other. He already had Commander rank from the very first time I met him. We would 1v1 for fun. Connive in healing each other's opponents. And we would sometimes Skype. Skype is where he realised I was just 7 years old. And that's how I know he is 11. And so our friendship was sealed. A friendship good enough that I once gave him a stack of gapples for free. He didn't ask for it; I just gave it for the heck of being friends. More recently, he asked if I could give him some gapples so I gave him $500 and told him to bid that on the half stack I would auction. As far as online friendship goes, I'd say we were pretty good friends. The Beginning of Bobber's Betrayals. Good things never last. Even friendship which we hope would… don't. BobberX1 started acting differently. He would more regularly ask (pester would be a better way to put it) for gapples or $$$. I never told him about my baltop but I guess that's something you can't hide. I would nicely tell him, "Sorry, not today Bobber" or "I don't have much gapples atm, sorry." His reactions shocked me. He would, in public chat, say mean stuff directed at me. Obvious cases of bullying which I never cared to screenshot because I still considered him a friend and just assumed he was probably having a bad day at home or at school. He would also remove me from his hacked client's friend-list and try killing me unannounced. The next time we'd both be on PvpFest, I would confront him about his betrayal and his response was even more shocking… he claimed it was his best friend, not him, that was using the BobberX1 account when those betrayals occurred. So we would be "friends" again but not for long because the instances of pestering me for $$$ or gapples, the rude messages, and the challenges to 1v1 would persist. Yet he would again insist it was not him using that account at the time. Bobber's Best Friend. I knew the friendship I treasured was going to the dumps with the entry of another new player, KillAttack. BobberX1 announced that KillAtack was his best friend. Bobber also later claimed that KillAttack is his account which he lends to his best friend. KillAttack would 1v1 me and Bobber would /heal me so I'd die. And so that was the system from then on - the two of them made it a career to verbally harass and provoke me every chance they get. Two days ago, KillAttack challenged me to 1v1. I refused at first knowing that Bobber would most likely suddenly log in and /heal me again. But KillAttack was persistent and saying mean stuff in chat so I said, "Fine, warp h cave." I killed KillAttack without breaking a sweat. The Day of Death The following day KillAttack again showed up, this time with BobberX1 in tow. Bobber confronted me in public chat, "Why did you kill my best friend?" I calmly tried to explain, "KillAttack was the one who kept challenging me." But Bobber would hear nothing of it and both he and KillAttack launched an all-out word war against me. You know… the usual provocations like "DragonDaMan is scared." They kept at it for literally almost an hour. I would've just ignored them but, sadly, their verbal bullying escalated to this: I said, "BobberX1, warp h cave." BobberX1 said, "Yes." I killed my "friend" without breaking a sweat. Before quitting, BobberX1 reappeared momentarily to rage, "DragonDaMan dDosed me!!!!!!" KillAttack also vanished without a trace. I was Skyping with player Willnoo3 at the time and I let him grab the P3 and P2 armour that Bobber had on when he died. There was much rejoicing in all of PvpFest upon the death of Bobber. All the players who were earlier keeping quiet while the verbal bullying was going on suddenly erupted in cheers. A flood of congratulatory messages started filling up the chat. The word spread like wildfire and, with the flurry of activity, the server almost crashed (yes, I'm exaggerating but a little comedy was needed in this serious story). Goodbye, BobberX1. Edit: if you look up my Skype avatar, that's a pic of me with BobberX1. I don't plan on changing it soon. Hey, this is Minetime. You never know...
That's sad. I hate when users pretend to be friends for free stuff. Seems like he found someone else to leech from. I bought a rank for someone I thought was my friend but later he announced we weren't friends anymore. I could have did a charge back but decided not to.
As mentioned in the story, the "bad" thing I did was killing KillAttack. But, as mentioned, he was the one who kept bugging me to 1v1. Oh, I forgot to mention, I also gave Bobber in game $$$ several times ($1,000 once). I guess the really bad thing I'm guilty of is giving him gapples and $$$ in the first place. I guess some people, instead of being thankful at what you've given them, will instead demand for more (i think i remember @tacticturtle saying that happened to him, too).
It has happened to me so to speak TheFunkyMonkey72. We would PVP together everyday for about a year and then one day his brother gets on and demands 13k and if I don't give it to him he will hack me. Of course I didn't give him the money and when Funky got back on he was extremely mad at me and to this day we are still enemies.
lel i used to do this in my old pvpfest days but then i stopped because i couldnt scam anymore cause nobody trusted me
Dragon should've realised that he was using him. When I actually tried on factions (Good old LostIslands) people would always trashtalk, and they still do "1v1 me you noob" and then they 3v1 you. Hell that was when I was good, and I won 3v1s. But yeah moving on thanks for listening to my Minecraft life and I hope you feel like I have not definitely wasted your time and that I am still definitely wasting your time by wittering on for no apparent reason.
You said Bobber started playing recently, he played with me before pvpfest was a part of mine time, way before you,
