This is just an idea, but perhaps you could have 3 or so lobbies going at once, so the lobbys delag, and you could also disable some of the more extensive plugins until you get empires settled so run normally. -this is just a side note, but it would be awesome if you could allow people to obtain their empire world saves through their minetime.com account.
