Collin, although I do see your viewpoint on this matter, I don't necessarily agree with it. Part of the reason our chat system is unlike many other servers, is because we have a well organized system of prefix colors. The moment that you start letting players choose the color they would like for their username/prefix, is when the chat starts to get out of hand. As soon as you know it, the chat will be flooded with random assortments of colors, subsequently resulting in an undecipherable jumble of words with no system of organization. It's just my opinion, as I have seen it happen with many other servers in the past.
I highly agree with this. Everyone would be confused and it would be painful to even look at the chat
OMG Volga has a HUGE point since The chat takes like half of your screen, and its full of dull colors and bright colors!
True, but then again, its a possibility that only the higher of the ranks are able to change their name color.
But, yes that would be awesome being able to change [Timeless] colors to rainbow and make my name the color Teal. :3
I think you should let people do this but also give everyone a command to disable it if they don't like all the colors. That way when everyone comes to get annoyed with it and everyone hates it and has it disabled you can remove it and everyone will learn their lesson. That's just my opinion but you could make it be a choice.
Yes, this would be the best way to go, unless there were some rules in play with the /nick command, such as it would still have to have part of your original IGN. Example, My IGN is bailey1603, so maybe I would be aloud to have 'Bailey' but nothing without Bailey in it
