Hello Minetimers! I know threads like these have been made, but I'd like to make another one for all the new people on Minetime! Here, I'll show you some things about Factions! Let's get started! How to join a faction: If you're wanting to join someone's faction and they invited you but you have no clue what to type, simply type /f join (name). What I mean by "(name)" is their faction name. So, let's say my faction name is Minetime, I'd put in "/f join Minetime". How to create a faction: Don't want to join a faction and want to create one? Type the simple command: "/f create (name)". As I stated above, the (name) is where you put the name of your new faction you're about to create. If you've made the faction and you need members and you see a player with that you'd trust, just type "/f invite (players name). If you trust him even more, you can give him Mod! I'll tell you how to give people Mod and leader now! How to mod people or give people leader: If you have a faction with a really trustful and nice guy and want to give him more permissions in the faction, you can give him Mod. The command is /f mod (players name). Mod gets /f kick (players name), /f tag which changes the faction name, /f title which gives the a faction member a cool nickname and /f invite (players name). If you're tired of leading a faction and want to give your leader position to someone else, just do /f admin (players name). If you do this, you'll go straight down to mod. If you don't know who's mod and who's leader, this will tell you: Mods have 1 "*" in front of their name. The leader has two "**" in front of their name. As shown here: Mod- *Minetime[iJoel] Leader- **Minetime[iJoel] Regular members just have "Minetime" in front of their name. How to leave a faction: Simply type /f leave. How to claim land: If you've made a base with your friend and want to claim it so no body can raid it, you can claim it by doing /f claim. If you're having a lazy day and couldn't be bothered walking around your base doing /f claim, you can also do /f claim radius 2. This puts 9 claims around your base. If you want to have 25 claims around your base, do /f claim radius 3. Remember, if your power is 5/10 and it's only you in your faction, you can only claim 5 pieces of land. Also, if your power is less than your land claimed, people can /f claim over your land and take your valuables. How to get power: To gain power for your faction, all you need to do is not die. If you die, your power will go down 4. And you don't want that, trust me. You can check your power using /f power. How do you make a good not TNTable base: If you want a good, protected base, you need to use Obsidian. Obsidian is not TNTable. If you make a dirt, wood, cobblestone base, you'll probably go sleep for the night and come back with your base blown up and your items gone. But TNT cannot blow up in water, so if you can't afford obsidian and make a base with dirt, be sure to put water fully around it so it won't be blown up. Creeper Eggs Creeper eggs were recently enabled in the recent server reset. The only way you can get creeper eggs is by getting a lucky vote (use /vote). This means that if someone is able to get inside your base, and you do not have protected chests, they will place the creeper beside your chest. Creepers blow up when a player is near them, so, the creeper will blow up your chest, and everything around it. To stop this, you need to cover your chests in water. By doing this, the creeper explosion will blow up everything around the chest, but it won't blow up the chest because it is covered with water. And creepers don't explode in water. Have members that you don't really trust?: If you have faction members that are there for power and you don't like, and you think they're going to raid your base, simply /f owner around your base! You can only /f owner land if you're leader of the faction. You can also add people to the land by doing /f owner (players name). Note: Moderators of your faction can still break in your /f ownered land! How to enemy, ally and neutral: If you have enemies and want them to be true enemies, just type /f enemy (faction name). If you want to make friends with another faction and ally them, just type /f ally (faction name). By allying a faction, you are unable to hurt them. If you want to be neutral with someone, type /f neutral (faction name). Here are the colours of ally, neutral and enemy. Remember, neutral factions can't hit you in your claimed land. Enemies can. Neutral- white Enemy- red Ally -pink /f list With this, you can see what faction has the most people on, usually. If your faction is on the top, you're doing great! How to unclaim and unclaimall: Lets say you made a new base and you wanted to unclaim your old base. All you need to do is /f unclaim when standing over the land you want unclaimed. If you want to unclaim ALL of your faction land, you can use /f unclaimall. /f map You can use /f map to find nearby factions. Faction description: If you want your faction to have a description, just type /f description (message) For example: /f desc Minetime is unique in many different ways /f open and /f close: If you don't want to keep inviting people, you can open your faction using /f open. This means anyone can join your faction without you inviting them. And if you are getting raided because of this, you can do /f open again, and this will close the faction. I hope you got some good information about the factions server! I'd love some helpful criticism and if there are any spelling errors, please tell me! Also, if I missed some stuff out, please tell me and I'll add it in! EDIT: I've updated this as we just had a recent server reset.
You forgot /f desc [description] to change your factions description, but nice guide. I believe you also forgot /f unclaim and /f unclaim all. Also, /f map to find nearby factions.
I think he was trying for a guide to the "/f" command, not really the gameplay. Edit: also, 1 disagree isn't "hate"
If this is just a guide to the /f command you missed a few things. /f open and /f close You talked about power, but didn't tell them to check it with /f power You also lose 4 power when you die, contrary to the 2 you said. /f list not really mandatory, but might as well be thorough. /f kick Maybe tell them how neutral facts can't hurt you in claimed land vice versa. The 30% less damage for enemies as well. That's all for now, I'm still thinking.
